SPIRIT serves students ages 5 through 21 who have emotional and/or behavioral disorders, varying disabilities, developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders. Wordsworth provides state-of-the-art special education methods, therapy, adaptive equipment and materials, technology, and other interventions to address individual student needs.
Our SPIRIT Program is designed to support lower functioning children in achieving a high level of self-sufficiency and academic potential. We focus on academic instruction, life skills coaching and individual therapy. Our caring and professional staff is comprised of special education teachers, classroom assistants, behavioral health workers, psychologists, counselors, and therapists. A team approach, including parental involvement, is critical to setting and reaching goals for each student.
