Wordsworth has been awarded a major contract from Philadelphia Dept of Human Services (DHS) to provide In-Home Protective Services (IHPS) to children at risk of abuse and/or neglect. The contract provides “IHPS-General” to families living within the boundaries of Police Districts 2 and 35.

IHPS is a new program replacing Services to Children In Their Own Homes (SCOH) and is scheduled to begin January 1, 2009. Safety of children is at the core of IHPS. This program will provide linkage and also ensures follow through with community supports such as behavioral health services, housing and other resources. Wordsworth works with the family toward a safety-driven and goal directed objective, starting with DHS Family Service Plan and Safety Plan that is used to collaboratively develop the Provider Service Plan with all significant individuals or providers.
