The Chief Operating Officer's role will be to oversee all agency operations, facilities, and to serve as the “right-hand” to the CEO in running the agency. The COO is the on-site manager, allowing the CEO to work with the Board, to bring new opportunities to the agency, be the face of the agency to the stakeholder community, and to represent Wordsworth for increased visibility and advancement of the mission.

Wordsworth is pleased to announce that Mike Britcher has been appointed to the role of Wordsworth COO. Mike has worked in the ”residential” arena for 18 years, 13 of which have been with Wordsworth and the last 6 as the Executive Director of the Wordsworth Residential program and has brought that program to a level of quality and efficiency that is unprecedented. His management and organizational skills are proven, his familiarity with city, state and federal regulations is remarkable, and the respect from his staff and the community is well-known. He is regarded by the state Department of Public Welfare to be expert in residential program management and is known as an innovator in the realm of training and restraint technique. We are fortunate to have Mike as part of the Wordsworth team. We will be transitioning certain functions under Mike’s leadership in the coming weeks and months.
