What our staff says about working at Wordsworth…
Samara Speakes, Acute Services Program Director
"After receiving my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Philadelphia University in 2005, I applied to Wordsworth for the Residential Counselor position. Since then, I have held several positions within the RTP, and last year I was promoted to Program Director. What I enjoy most about the RTP is the dedicated staff who give their time and care to the clients we serve. It's a tough job, but they get it done and they give more than 100%. Wordsworth as a whole is a collaborative and caring organization and as my first job out of college, I am very happy to have joined.
Simon Murray, Behavioral Health Worker
"It has been almost 15 years since I have been working at Wordsworth; I started as a Residential Counselor then a Teacher’s Assistant and now a Behavioral Health Worker and I have no plans on leaving. What I like most about my position is the team that I get to work with. My team is very supportive and values everyone’s input. Collectively, we're able to be of great help to the clients we serve. If you want to work in a team-filled environment with supportive staff then you’re looking in the right place."
LaShanta Majeed, CUA Team Leader
I started at Wordsworth on 3/25/13 as an IHPS Supervisor. I applied here with the excitement of charting new and unknown territory as it pertained to the CUA. I like the environment at Wordsworth and the many opportunities to grow. I also enjoy that growth in one’s education is also encouraged. An example of this can be reflected upon me as I have been here shy of one year and will begin training for the CUA as 1 of the 3 new Team Leaders for Region 5.
